By submitting a project, you agree to follow all rules below.

This challenge is open only to individuals currently residing in Canada.

Participants may enter as individuals or in teams of up to 4 people.

There is no cost to enter.

Participants under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to take part

Projects must address the challenge theme:
Design a low-power farming or hydroponic system that can grow food using minimal electricity. -
You may draw, design, or digitally illustrate your system. A physical prototype is optional.

Each submission must include:
-
A labeled drawing or diagram of the system.
-
A 100–250 word explanation of how it works, what materials it uses, and how it saves energy.

Submissions are due by November 13, 2025, at 11:45 PM EST.
-
Your submission must be your own original work, created during the challenge period.
-
You may use open-source tools or free resources, but the final design and description must be unique to your team.
-
Do not copy, plagiarize, or reuse someone else’s content.
-
Teams may collaborate virtually or in person.
-
Each team member must be listed on the submission along with their role and contribution.
-
Collaboration and knowledge-sharing are encouraged, but all team members must contribute meaningfully to the project.

Submissions will be reviewed by the Future S.E.T. judging panel using these criteria:

Public voting for the People’s Choice Award will run from November 14, 2025 (9:00 AM EST) to November 16, 2025 (5:00 PM EST).

Public votes will not decide the main winner, but they will add bonus points for creativity and community engagement.

Judges’ decisions are final.

Prizes are non-transferable and will only be awarded to participants residing in Canada.

Avoid harassment, discrimination, or offensive behavior of any kind.

Submit only appropriate and positive content.

Promote collaboration, learning, and fair participation.
Violating the Code of Conduct may lead to disqualification.
8. Ownership and Collaboration Rights-
Participants retain full ownership of their designs and ideas.

By submitting your project, you grant Future S.E.T. permission to showcase your work publicly (with credit) on its website, social media, or publications to celebrate your innovation.

With your explicit written consent, Future S.E.T. may later collaborate with you to further develop, test, or implement your design in real-world programs, school initiatives, or Agri-Tech projects.

Any such collaboration will always be voluntary and will involve your consent and acknowledgment before development begins.

Future S.E.T. will not sell, reproduce, or profit from your design without prior written agreement.
A participant or team may be disqualified if they:

Submit copied, plagiarized, or AI-generated work without original input.
-
Manipulate or spam the public voting system.
-
Violate eligibility, submission, or conduct rules.
-
Provide false or misleading information.
These rules are for informational purposes only.
Future S.E.T. encourages participants and organizers to seek legal or parental guidance where necessary.
